One of my favorite things to do during my free time is to read.  I sound strange saying this but nothing is better than having a cup of coffee and a new book to dig into, but if you were to ask me to write a reflection paper about what I am reading, I will find every excuse in the world to avoid having to do it.  This is why I am eager to be taking a writing class.  During the next two weeks, I hope my views about writing changes from something that I dread to something that I look forward to doing.  I do know that researching and spending hours finding resources for a certain topic is easy for me.  In my opinion, the only way for a human being to reach its full potential in life is to take time to deepen their understanding of the world we live in.  Researching topics and reading articles is fun for me because I am able to expand my knowledge about other things rather than our discussions in the classroom.  I’ve set high standards for myself and hope that by the end of these two weeks I meet each goal.  I may not be the best writer, but I do know that with a little perseverance and hard work I can make huge improvements to my writing, reading, and research skills.
