Growing up, I honestly never read any comic books. I often heard of them being in the Sunday newspaper, but I never actually read them myself. I’ve probably glanced over a few comics about some marvel superhero, but I would be fabricating the entire story if I gave you any detail about that experience. I’ve seen flashes of comics on shows that are about superheroes, typically before a movie. That should count for something, right? Even though I have no experience with comics, reading the comic books in this class made things a bit more interesting. They add action to the story, and make reading a bit more fun. Nowadays, we barely have pictures in the books we are required to read at school. This class has definitely given me a new approach on the way I view comic books. The can be a huge help to the individuals who cannot stand reading old fashioned books with no pictures or colors.
