I have a love hate relationship when it comes to reading, because there are days where I can just pick up a book and start reading like it's nothing. Then there are days that I read only because it was a requirement by either the AR program in elementary school, and the summer AP readings in high school. Personally, reading for me is easy as long as the text is understandable and something that would be appealing to me. I took this class because it has been shown that i have some difficulty with my writing and it could use some work especially since I will be entering college this fall. I hope to pass this class with a grade no lower than a B+, since I know how I am with writing. I hope to gain the knowledge and skills to write better papers and receive higher grades in the future.

I understand the love hate relationship you have with reading, as well as if there is a text that I am interested in I will enjoy reading it. I also will be entering school this fall and would love to work together to strengthen our reading and writing skills, I look forward to collaborating with you soon!
ReplyDeleteI have that relationship as well, just also with the writing. I can't just write upon whim, and if I try, it becomes garbage.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand your reading situation. I have a hard time trying to decipher text when its written in Old English or is just not interesting to read. I think this class well really help on the writing situation and will have beneficial information to know about what college writing is expected to be like.
ReplyDeleteI know your feelings towards the reading, it has to be something that i choose on my own or else it will just be words i blankly stare at. I too took this class in order to better my writing skills because I will be a senior which is one step closer to college and the closer it gets the more scared I am of not having the proper abilities to write college level essays. I personally believe high hopes will be the driving force behind getting through this class and that incentive to pass

ReplyDeleteI have the same relationship with reading. I sometimes can finish a book in a few hours and sometimes it take me weeks. I think it's just how passionate I am about the text reading. It's so hard to find good books that will still help us learn. I wish authors of textbooks realized how boring their writing was to students.
