Course Assumptions
To date, I feel as if my writing skills are not up to par with some of the older students attending the TLU Summer Program for college credits. My school district has, unfortunately, not put enough effort into the writing procedures for students in elementary and middle schools. As far as I know, only I have the ability to improve my writing skills. I find that I am decent with vocabulary, and know how to wrap ideas around a single topic. However, I go off on tangents about a topic quite often. Furthermore, I also find it difficult to grasp somewhat elusive topics, and don't know what to write about. My passage analytical and interpretive skills are what I need to improve upon the most. With my ambition for success, and from this course, I will definitely use the knowledge that would revamp my analysis skills and writing prompt styles from TLU. I also hope that my own knowledge will be of some use to an extent that will benefit my learning experience in writing.

The information we learn here will definitely help to improve our knowledge bases in the writing areas, good luck man!
ReplyDeleteWriting down similar things and making columns when having to write an essay or paper will help with organizing topics. This course should help with improving all of our writing and teach us new ways to think about a subject to make unusual, interesting points.
ReplyDeleteIt is true. In the end, only you have the ultimate ability to improve yourself. But that doesn't mean that you are alone. There plenty of people, students and teachers alike, who can provide a support for you. And this course will undoubtedly improve your skills.
ReplyDeleteI understand what youre saying about the district you come from. I come from that district as well. We have not got too much advanced knowlege but I find that you are very bright and prepared in class. If you keep that up, itll take you places you didnt think you could go. I wish you the best of luck in the course, even though I know you will do great!!
